Main characters:

  • Roger Smith – the main rich, but cool guy;
  • R. Dorothy Wayneright – robot girl;

Did you even wonder how your life would be if you couldn’t remember anything in your past?  If you lived of a memories someone else gave you? You had a shape of a dead person and only represent her or him without your own reflection? if you didn’t feel the taste of simple tea or any kind of food? if you lived in a world full of emotions you cant feel? would you try to understand them or push them away?

That is something one of our new lovely main characters lives through (hmm live? does that actually considered living?) well doesn’t matter. This is a story about a city of lost memories and one man living in it. 40 years ago all people lost their memories and had to recreate a new law and live by it. All city is full of old memories and things that people doesn’t know how to use. Some of them are huge robots named Megadeus and one of them is our Big O controlled by our main dude Roger Smith. Roger in normal life is negotiator who takes all sorts of cases including one in which he meets Dorothy. As she owes him a big one she starts to live with him (that means drive him insane with weird questions, crazy piano playing in the morning and so on). As she lives there she has to obey some house rules – the main one <- you have to wear black. And also she has to go along with the thing of “men amusement” like cleaning all house, repairing stuff and driving huge robots, in fights with other huge robots.

Though this is a big mecha anime, but it has a deep sense and analyzes of human nature. Also it has original telling about all things that we see as natural – like Christmas – they dont remember of. People start to live and make their own way of understanding things – they made Heavens day instead of Christmas..

All that peaceful atmosphere with the sounds of old saxophone music, some strict line drawing style, deep and low voice of main character (I mean eng dub version) telling the story – everything creates nice and at the same point deep story that tells more than just meets the eye or hears the ear.

A little simple detail that I could say – both of them look better when they look more mmm… I mean less formal:
