and here I sit and wonder how should i start.. first of all I liked this movie and I think its really good.
A little bit of story – there are two worlds: human and forgotten things. Creatures form forgotten things land comes to human world and collect things that humans have forgotten. One day a little girl named Haruka gets into world of forgotten things and tries to find her long lost mirror. Mirrors have special power in forgotten island because they can give life to any kind of doll and something more. So Haruka with a help of Teo and her long (also) lost friend Cotton has to go a long way to get it back (its just me or there are too much of “long” words..). Evil Baron wants to get the mirror for himself to use it for some bad deeds (like making huge army of strange things to go to human world to steal things).. but eventually she gets everything back and goes back to human world.
One of the things I liked the most in this movie – animation. 3d connected with some 2d things. Like totally 2d scenery and there goes a 3d car inside of it ^.^ suppose to be strange but actually looks just funny and even fits. People and creatures are made in 3d but not in the way that it would look totally realistic (I don’t really like that – animation is made to be animation).
The main moral of the story is simple and easily understandable – you have to treasure what you have doesn’t mater its thing or person.Humans have an amazing ability to keep memories and to remember precious to us so we should try our hardest to fulfill that.
One more thing that I likes in the movie was all the things – the city of Forgotten things was made of them. Roofs made of skateboards, chair done out of record player and so on… I liked when “no parking” signs of road were used for little roofs – yes they definitely were not necessary no matter where you took them from.. And somehow most of the things looked way bigger than they actually are (Haruka managed to put baseball ball on her head as mask) but some of them looked the same size (like the record player).
In short it’s enjoyable story for all family. Everyone can find something interesting, something new and something old, but forgotten, something precious and from deep within the heart. Simple friendship between human and strange animal that shows how important it is to try to understand each other and overcome differences teach us something o very simple but also s very important – lets treasure what we have, because it is not forever..
AMV (I guess..)
